Featured Member: Barrie Tully
Barrie Tully is from a long line of Orchardist from Templestowe. Barrie & his Wife Rae purchased the Strathewen Property in 1960 and moved in to run the Orchard in 1983. They were growing peaches, pears, apples, nectarines, quinces and ran some cows.
Barrie is a life member of the Arthurs Creek & Strathewen CFA with over 50 years’ service.
In 2019 the Tully’s moved from their orchard to a house with “neighbours” in Diamond Creek.
The Tully’s are World Travellers which kindled a strong interest in Photography to record the places they have visited.
Barrie’s latest camera is a Canon M5 mirrorless camera which is an ideal size for travelling, with a 14-45mm and a 55-200mm zoom lens..
He does not post process his Photos, they come straight from the camera.
When asked, what does Barrie enjoy most about our club his reply was, “looking at other people’s Photos.”
Barrie is very personable and friendly therefore is great person to have as a member of our Club.
